The Association encourages partnership working with organisations committed to supporting the Purpose and Objects of the Association listed below.

 

Purpose of the Association

To provide a professional network that encourages shared learning and promotes the commercial profession within healthcare
(Commercial to mean - Purchasing and Supply, Procurement and Commissioning)

 

The Objects of the Association

3.1 – To promote, maintain and continuously improve professional standards and raise the profile of the work of its members
3.2 – To deliver learning and development interventions to meet the needs of members in the changing health care environment
3.3 – To provide networking opportunities that facilitates the flow of information and knowledge between members and partner organisations

Cook Medical agrees to become HCSA’s first Corporate Partner

Cook Medical has entered into an agreement to become a Corporate Partner of HCSA for the next three years.  This partnership will be underpinned by a determination to increase knowledge and facilitate shared learning amongst its members.

HCSA’s Corporate Partner Programme was launched last November and discussions have been ongoing with Cook Medical since then in order to reach a mutually agreeable understanding, and in particular one that will provide support to the HCSA as it develops.

In one of his final acts as Chairman, Simon Walsh who signed the Memorandum of Understanding with Cook Medical said:

“I am absolutely delighted HCSA has entered into this Partnership. Cook Medical has for many years been a strong supporter of HCSA and I am certain it is an organisation which understands our culture and shares our aims in improving the knowledge of NHS procurement professionals.

New Chairman Helen Lisle said:

NHS Supply Chain and HCSA: Corporate Partners

NHS Supply Chain is delighted to have become a Corporate Partner with HCSA, working with procurement professionals to deliver £300m of savings for the NHS by 2018.

As the financial strain on the NHS increases, it is more important than ever that we work together and support each other to make the savings required for the NHS to run as efficiently and effectively as possible for its patients.  The NHS Supply Chain team are delighted to bring their skills and expertise in this field to the HCSA members and look forward to growing and developing what is already a strong partnership through shared objectives and positive action.
