Bob Waddell has worked in the NHS Procurement Service for over 35 years and has experience of all aspects of Public Sector Procurement. He is currently an HCSA Trustee and heads a team based in Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne; one of the biggest Mental Health NHS Trusts in Europe. Bob is a member of the CIPS National Congress and was awarded a Fellowship by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply in 2012.
Bob has been a Trainer for over 14 years and has trained hundreds of staff during this period. He freely admits to really enjoying this aspect of his work – it is the one day in the month when he can feel he is really making a difference and passing on some of the experience which he has gained during the course of his career to the Procurement Professionals of the future. In his spare time Bob is a Magistrate in South East Northumberland and is also the Treasurer of the Newcastle Ravens Rugby Club.
