Paul is Head of Procurement for the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust and the Procurement Lead for the Working Together Vanguard. In his role as Head of Procurement for Rotherham he is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the procurement and logistics functions, ensuring delivery of the Trusts’ efficiency plans and meeting the requirements of the Lord Carter recommendations and metrics. He is also a member of the senior management team and a member of the Trusts shadow board.
In his role as procurement lead for the Working Together Vanguard he leads on the formal collaboration of the procurement functions for six Acute Trusts in South Yorkshire. In this role he leads on implementing a 3 year strategy to allow the Trusts to become a networked collaborative that can support the Procurement across all the Trusts in South Yorkshire by working on a joint procurement plan, working to a single set of policies and procedures and making best use of the resources across all the Trusts.
He is also the regional chair of the Procurement Skills Development Network for the Yorkshire & Humber and a regional coordinator on the HCSA council. Paul has over 23 years procurement experience in both the private and public sector with over 10 years as Head of Procurement.
