The Department of Health and Social Care’s Procurement Transformation Programme (PTP) has awarded a major contract for Supporting Technologies and Infrastructure Services to a DXC Technology group company.
DXC Technology is a world leading independent, end-to-end IT services company serving nearly 6,000 private and public-sector clients from a diverse array of industries across 70 countries.
This contract is the next stage in the implementation of a new operating model for NHS Supply Chain, through which all NHS organisations can purchase quality goods and consumables for patient care at the best possible value.
The contract award was based on an assessment of quality of services, commercial proposals and price, and will be in place for four years with the option to extend for up to two further years. DXC Technology will commence with the provision and delivery of operational services across the new operating model and NHS Supply Chain, from early 2019.
