Summer Conference 2020 Update

HCSA Trustees and the Chief Officer have met to discuss the potential impact of Covid-19 on planned events, with HCSA taking a decisive but difficult decision to cancel Summer Conference 2020 along with activities the day prior.
HCSA Chief Officer Alan Hoskins said “We have not taken the decision to cancel the Summer Conference lightly and appreciate that this impacts many of our sponsors, partners and our members, who are all affected by this decision. We would ask for your understanding at this time whilst we prepare further communications to circulate early next week.
We are fully supportive of our NHS Procurement and Supply Chain Teams and want our colleagues across the country to be able to focus on the Covid-19 response. It is critical for the teams to be able to respond quickly and manage PPE stock and increased demand to the point of need. This is where the utmost focus is required to ensure availability of products is managed so patient care can continue to be provided by the frontline staff without disruption.
As the changing situation and threat is diminished there will be a need to recharge and regroup, only then will we resume our events planning.”
The HCSA team wish you and your families well during this ever changing time, stay safe and wash your hands regularly
