The Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) is an independent organisation established to promote quality in healthcare and in particular, to increase the impact that clinical audit has on health care improvement. We manage NHS clinical work programmes on behalf of NHS England and other devolved nations. This includes the National Clinical Audit & Patient Outcome Programme (NCAPOP), which consists of over forty National Clinical Audits and clinical outcome review programmes. We are supported by three parent organisations: the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, The Royal College of Nursing and National Voices.
We are a small, friendly team working in a fast paced environment and are seeking an Associate Director of Procurement to join us. You will direct the procurement of goods and services for the client teams within HQIP and support Procurement team members and colleagues with effective and efficient management of the procurement processes and associated transformational change.

This is a leadership role and you will:
Lead the work of the procurement team, including the setting and delivery of the strategy, business plan and whole HQIP procurement life cycle. You will develop an agile and customer focused service that delivers HQIP shared goals. You will be responsible for developing a strategic approach to the corporate process for the procurement of indirect products and services.
Develop a centralised procurement programme that will add value and efficiency to the Organisation. The Procurement Team will have tactical responsibility for the development and implementation of policies, strategies and supporting procedures as well as suitable systems that successfully deliver against HQIP’s commissioning plan.
Direct the procurement of goods and services for the client teams within HQIP and support Procurement team members and colleagues with effective and efficient management of the procurement processes and associated transformational change.
Qualified as a Fellow or Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (MCIPS), or close equivalent you will offer:
