Job Title: Business Manager (Finance and Information Security)

Salary: £43,358 – £53,093

Description: Salary: £43,358 – £53,093 (depending on experience)  This post is based at either our Sheffield or Newcastle office.  CPP is currently reviewing its working arrangements and it is likely that you will spend a percentage of your time working from home. Further information will be made available if you are invited for interview.  What we do:

Your New Role:

As our Business Manager for Finance and Information Security, you will provide support to CPP’s Executive Team in delivering the corporate objectives in relation to finance, information security  working with our partner organisations. This encompasses operational planning, analysis and reporting, financial control, information technology and security, and insurance. In your new role you will:

 

Provide financial expertise to support CPP in its relationship and communications with our Outsourced Finance Provider.

Working with the Outsourced Finance Provider, support internal stakeholders in CPP’s budget preparation process and monitor performance against agreed budgets, including identifying and correcting variances at an early stage.

Provide expert guidance to CPP’s senior management team on our Standing Financial Instructions and manage the related administration and policies and procedures.

Provide expertise and support in the production of CPP’s savings forecasts in its mission to save money for the NHS.

Lead on sourcing insurance to cover CPP’s operating liabilities as required by our contract with Supply Chain Co-ordination Limited (SCCL).

Lead CPP’s response to Information Security and liaise with key external stakeholders on Information Security.

Manage CPP’s relationship with and service delivery from external IT providers including hardware, software, IT support and projects.

Provide analysis and monitoring of people costs and pay.

 

What we need:

 

Proven and successful experience operating as an accountant in fast-paced complex and contract driven organisation.

Be a full member of one of the UK’s six accounting bodies.

Proven experience of managing diverse specialisms successfully against KPIs.

Structured, pragmatic and used to working independently.

Diplomatic, persuasive and supportive, with a track record of stakeholder management internally and externally.

Able to plan, manage and execute multiple projects and tasks successfully.

Knowledge and understanding of IT environments including networks, operating systems, hardware, software and Cloud-based solutions.

Ability to work confidently under pressure and deal with competing deadlines.

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

Strong skills in all Microsoft Office packages but particularly Excel.

Ideally hold a Certificate in Information Security.
