Job Title: Operations Adviser and Developing Commercial Practitioner

Location: Runcorn, Runcorn

Type: Fixed term

Salary: £31,365 – £37,890 per annum

Description: The Commercial Medicines Unit (CMU) is a national medicines procurement function based in NHS England’s Commercial Medicines Directorate.

The key aim of the Commercial Medicines Unit is to deliver efficiencies for the NHS in procurement of medicines. Initiate procurement and support the DH purchasing for safety agenda for those medicines and ensure an efficient and effective supply chain for medicines to the patient.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Commercial Medicines Unit, for an Operations Adviser and Developing Commercial Practitioner in our Branded and Biosimilar Medicines Procurement Team, working as part of a dynamic team undertaking framework agreements on behalf of the NHS.

You will have experience of all aspects of procurement, preferably, but not necessarily in the public sector. You will also have experience of working in a fast-moving environment and in an extended team.

You will also have excellent analytical, organisation and IT skills, in particular full office suite and will be used to working to tight deadlines.
