Job Title: Procurement Category Manager ICT & Digital

Location: OUH Cowley/All Sites, Oxford

Type: Permanent

Salary: £53,168 – £62,001 per annum pro rata

Description: Procurement Business Partner / Medical Technology Category Manager Band 8b  This is a great time to join our expanding procurement team in a time of innovation and change. We are looking for an experienced Category Manager to oversee the management of all non-pay expenditure for ICT and Digital category and to lead the development of sourcing strategies to deliver value-for-money and improved services for our patients.

The team is committed to working constructively and collaboratively with our suppliers in developing value adding opportunities and harnessing the potential for our supply chain to support the Trust in delivering better care to our patients and in improving operational performance and efficiency.

We are a forward-thinking team and whilst cost reduction activity remains important, our focus is beyond the traditional approaches, and is for the Trust to become the ‘partner of choice’ for key suppliers across the healthcare sector – a key strategic partner for product/service development, research, innovation and working collaboratively to improve healthcare for patients.

These role will provide a high-level of expert knowledge and skill to ensure we are providing the best practice procurement and strategic sourcing, maximising value from the supply chain and develop a well-defined procurement category strategies and plans.

As the Category Manager for the ICT and Digital category you will be the dedicated point of contact for all procurement and supply chain queries associated with the ICT and Digital expenditure and to coordinate activities with other members of the team where appropriate.

We work closely with our clinical and operational colleagues. An important part of your role you will be to develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including our clinical teams, suppliers and other agencies such as AHSNs, so excellent communication and interpersonal skills are critical to the success of these roles.

You will have experience of , developing and managing complex procurement projects including business cases, options appraisal, tender documentation, tender evaluation and contract award processes.
