Paul Ralston – current Head of Procurement for Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust and Programme Director, Procurement for South Yorkshire & Bassetlaw ICS – is taking up the role of Associate Director, Commercial & Procurement for Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
It’s a key role in supporting the Director of Commercial & Procurement, Chris Slater, in the continued progress of the procurement function within one of the biggest Trusts in England.
Paul has been in his current positions for just over 5 years and prior to that was Head of Procurement at Humber NHS Foundation Trust. He is also the HCSA National Council member for Yorkshire & Humber and the Chair of the Yorkshire & Humber Procurement Skills Development network.
Paul said: “I am looking forward to learning from and supporting one of the best performing procurement teams in the country and bringing my own knowledge and experience to the team to help them continue to develop the Leeds Way.”
When he begins his new role in late June, Paul will be supporting the introduction of a new catalogue solution for all Acute Trusts in West Yorkshire, helping with ongoing Scan4Safety initiatives, and reviewing the new standards of Procurement.
