We are now inviting nominations for two stakeholder roles in the HCSA.

South Central Regional Coordinator

Steve Vandyken Director of Procurement and Supply Chain at University Southampton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust shortly moves to a new job role at CPP as Category Director for Tower 4 and has decided to step down from his South Central Regional Coordinator post to focus on his new role.

Steve thanked the HCSA for the opportunity and said “I have enjoyed immensely being part of the HCSA stakeholder group and contributing to the wider agenda and conferences over the last 4 years and I wish the HCSA and colleagues all the best for the future and believe that HCSA will become even more critical as NHS Procurement continues through its transformation over the next two years.


East Midlands Regional Coordinator


Tony Stanyard is Assistant Director of Finance – Procurement at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. He has also been the East Midlands Regional Coordinator on the HCSA National Stakeholder Group. He is retiring shortly after many years of loyal service to the association and is stepping down from his East Midlands Regional Coordinator post to make way for a new coordinator.



What’s involved in the role?

Regional Coordinators provide a key link between the HCSA Executive and its entire membership. As well as supporting and promoting the work of the HCSA in their region and sharing developments and best practice in NHS Procurement, they attend twice yearly National Stakeholder Group meetings along with Regional Events and National Conferences.

What is the Self Nomination Process?

Any HCSA member may stand for these regional roles, however they must be:

  •    A current member of the region for which they are applying
  •    Be aware / a supporter of the HCSA within their region.

The nomination form is available below.

Simply complete the online form by:

  •     Inserting the names and contact details of two active HCSA member sponsors (proposer and seconder)
  •     Provide a supporting statement of no more than 300 words as to why you would be the right candidate for the role
  •     Include a high resolution image of the nominee with your application

The image and election statement will be displayed on the HCSA website.

The nominated person must speak to and have the support of their line manager prior to submitting their application.
