The NHS Business Services Authority, Supplier Management, in conjunction with the Department of Health, is hosting a number of customer engagement events in January/February 2018, which we would like to invite you to attend. These events will provide insight into the progress made for the renewal of the NHS Supply Chain service function and what the proposed new service will look like. It will give you an opportunity to meet the newly appointed phase 1 Category Tower Service Providers and to hear what the new service, the NHS Future Operating Model, will look like.
The objectives of the workshops are:
- Look back at 2017 – update on activities from the last 12 months, savings initiatives and the subsequent Service Improvement Programme provided by NHS Supply Chain.
- Opportunity to meet the Category Towers Service Providers – interaction with DHL, Collaborative Procurement Partnership, Health Solutions Team and Crown Commercial Services.
- Look forward to 2018 – an update on development of the Intelligent Client Coordinator, which goes live in April 2018, and our plans for customer engagement, service improvements and transition planning, including an update on both the Logistics and IT tenders.
The events will include interactive workshops with representatives from the first phase of the newly awarded Category Tower Service Providers which are on track to go live in May 2018.

An additional event may be organised in Newcastle towards the end of February. Confirmation of venues / agenda will be sent out nearer the date of the event.
The workshops are aimed specifically at Heads of Procurement, Clinical Leads, Nurse Advisers and Clinical Procurement Specialists, however please forward the invite to colleagues within your organisation that you feel would benefit from these sessions.
