NHS’ chief information officer departs for tech giant

Former NHS chief information officer Will Smart has taken up a position with global firm DXC Technology.
Mr Smart, who had worked as NHS England’s chief information officer since August 2016, has joined the company as its global director for customer engagement within healthcare and life sciences.
He announced his move on Twitter last week, having already signalled his departure from the NHS during the summer, shortly after the launch of NHSX.
