Government Counter Fraud Profession to launch in October 2018
On 30 July the Minister for the Constitution, Chloe Smith MP, announced the creation of the Government Counter Fraud Profession (GCFP), which will be launched on 9 October 2018. This is part of work the Cabinet Office is leading to improve counter fraud capability across central government.
The GCFP aims to bring the government’s counter fraud community together under a common set of standards, and develop that community as they work to protect public services and fight economic crime. The NHSCFA has supported the Cabinet Office’s work on this from the start, and worked closely with colleagues across central government to shape the development of the new profession.
