- NHSE/I to tender for new integrated financial system in July

NHS England and Improvement will publish a tender for a single HR, payroll, finance and procurement system covering the whole service in the summer, according to a procurement notice published on Friday.
The notice also reveals the existing “integrated single financial environment” service, provided through NHS Shared Business Services, has been extended by three years, until March 2024 at the cost of £59m, due to “inevitable” delays to drawing up the specification for the new system caused by covid.
The procurement document, published on 16 April, says: “The ISFE enables NHS England to prepare consolidated accounts. The service is mandated across the NHS England group and NHS Improvement, and is wholly funded by NHS England and NHS Improvement.”
