Birmingham, England – HealthTrust Europe (HTE) is thrilled to announce that it has been selected by Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust to be its exclusive Group Purchasing Organisation (GPO), resulting in all three Trusts of The Alliance Local Delivery System (LSD) now active members of the GPO.

Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust serves a community of over 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. The Trust also provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man from its North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre based at Southport Hospital.

As a member of HTE’s GPO the Trust now has access to a range of products and services that deliver high quality patient care.

Christina Fletcher, the Interim Procurement Manager for Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust, said that being a member of HTE’s GPO provides a platform to share learnings and opportunities to work collaboratively with other NHS Trusts.

“We’re delighted to have recently become a member of HealthTrust Europe’s Group Purchasing Organisation. Working with their team of clinical and procurement professionals and having an active role on the Clinical and Procurement Advisory Boards, we’re looking forward to making a difference to our procurement processes and seeing cost efficiencies.”
