Job Title: Category Manager
As someone that has worked very closely with the HCSA over the last 18 months, I’d be delighted to be considered for the next Regional Stakeholder Coordinator role.
As the winner of the HCSA Procurement Development Programme (PDP) in 2018 I was honoured to spend the next 12 months working with the Board of Trustees, where I developed a deeper understanding of the charity, its vision, and the opportunity it offers to Health Care professionals across the UK.
While working with the Trustees I sought to provide a different perspective based on my developing position within the profession, and I hoped to reflect the views of members who have a passion for procurement and a desire to improve. I also tried to give a Welsh perspective, and more recently, I’ve been delighted to work with Paul Sydenham and colleagues in securing additional training specifically for junior procurement professionals in Wales.
The HCSA offers a fantastic opportunity for all members to engage with and learn from each other, whether it be via their Regional Stakeholder Coordinator, via the Summer and Winter Conferences, or via exciting training opportunities such as the PDP. I recognise the great work that’s been done in building a strong membership here in Wales, and I’d hope to build on that and continue delivering benefits to our members.
I hope to increase stakeholder engagement, both within Wales and between the regions; learning from our colleagues in England, Scotland and Ireland. I’d also like to continue with some of the work I began with the Trustees, increasing the organisation’s presence and visibility, while embracing emerging technologies and innovation.
The HCSA is a great charity that exists to benefit workers within our very specific profession, and I hope we continue to access the many benefits it offers to us all.
