Technical Master Class

The HCSA as part of its support of procurement professionals is delivering two Technical master classes in Durham on 24th September 2018.
Session 1
- Practical Issues when running a procurement
This session will be run by Andrew Daly a Partner at Hempsons, who will use a recent EU case to examining the practical issues arising from running the evaluation, moderation and debrief stages of a tender process.
The target audience for this session is those procurement staff who are actively engaged in running EU tenders
Session 2
- Developing your Supply Chain capability
This session will be run by Jackie Pomroy and Rob Drag of Jackie Pomroy Consultancy who have been heavily involved in Scan for Safety at Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust and the development of their Materials Management Team
The target audience for this session are those who supervise and manage materials management and logistics teams at local Trust’s

- Practical Issues when running a procurement
Andrew Daly, partner in Hempsons’ specialist procurement law team, will provide an interactive session examining the practical issues arising from running the evaluation, moderation and debrief stages of a tender process. The session will examine the key issues and risks and provide practical tips. The session will also cover the lessons learned from the recent case Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust & Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust v Lancashire County Council [2018] EWHC 1589 (TCC) where Andrew led the team advising the two Foundation Trusts in successfully challenging the Council’s process.
