What are you most proud of?
I take pride in my involvement with community projects during my free time. Among them, the Homework Club at Broomhall Centre in Sheffield holds a special place in my heart. This club provides a safe space for local children to complete their school homework with support from qualified volunteers. As a volunteer on the management committee, I actively contribute to fundraising and grant applications to sustain the club, providing resources like laptops, printers and stationery.
What makes you angry?
While I generally maintain a calm demeanour, I find issues such as inequalities, the suffering of people, wastage, and a defeatist attitude to be sources of frustration for me.
What sports team do you support (if any)?
I have an interest in various sports like football, cricket, and boxing. However, I don't particularly support or follow any specific team or individual. I lean more towards participating in sports rather than being a spectator.
Which famous person would you most like to meet and why?
I would have loved to meet the legendary boxer Muhammad Ali. His inspirational journey through numerous challenges without complaining, facing them head-on, is a significant reason why he is remembered and admired to this day.
What superpower would you most like to have and why?
I don't believe in superpowers. I think everyone possesses the gift of life, and it's up to us to make the best use of it, improving not only our own lives but also the lives of others, both in the present and the future.
What historical figure do you most admire and why?
Nelson Mandela is a historical figure I greatly admire for his dedication to justice, equality, and his desire to driving positive change. His calm charisma and individualised approach when engaging with people are particularly noteworthy.
What’s your perfect weekend?
A perfect weekend for me is one without a to-do list, allowing me the freedom to engage in activities at my leisure.
What’s your favourite meal?
I wouldn't say no to a classic serving of fish and chips.
Can you describe yourself in one word?
Passionate
What do you hope to be doing 5 years from now?
In terms of my career, I aspire to have advanced to a director role in healthcare. Additionally, I aim to contribute to a workforce strategy that is more supportive and acknowledges the contributions of individuals with special needs and neurodiversity.
