What are you most proud of?

My 15yr old son Adam and my 14-year-old daughter Erin

What makes you angry?

Buffering (especially during the school holidays)

What sports team do you support (if any)?

Newcastle United (and anyone playing against Sunderland)

Which famous person would you most like to meet and why? Wilbur Smith, I’ve read everything he has written and I’m a huge fan.

What superpower would you most like to have and why?

I like to travel so to be able to speak any language would be really handy!

What historical figure do you most admire and why?

Gerry Robinson was a big influence on my interest in the world of business, I really enjoyed the “I'll Show Them Who's Boss” series in the early 90s and would be interested to hear his thoughts on the prospects of post Brexit Britain and the NHS

What’s your perfect weekend?

Exploring somewhere new, travelling, or spending time with friends and family

What’s your favourite meal?

Risotto ai funghi porcini

Can you describe yourself in one word?

Resilient

What do you hope to be doing 5 years from now?

Watching Newcastle United from my season ticket seat at St James Park rather than from the sofa at home
