What are you most proud of?

How my family managed to overcome challenges in life and stuck together.

What makes you angry?

Pettiness and usb sticks - a device that only has two possible ways to be plugged in but it always takes at least three attempts!

What sports team do you support (if any)?

Sporting Lisbon.

Which famous person would you most like to meet and why?

Haruki Murakami, a Japanese writer whose imagination I admire.

What superpower would you most like to have and why?

I would start with mundane powers like the ability to remember I need a carrier bag before I get inside the super market. Super power, possibly super speed so that I could always be prepared for everything.

What historical figure do you most admire and why?

Malala Yousafzai - a contemporary activist who was shot in the head by Taliban soldiers after campaigning for girls to have the right to attend school.

Malala possesses drive and has demonstrated what can be achieved despite huge obstacles being placed in her path.

What’s your perfect weekend?

A city break with good company, finding new places and a coffee somewhere while I immerse myself in the culture.

What’s your favourite meal?

Grilled fish. It reminds me of the barbecues we used to have as I was growing up in Portugal.

Can you describe yourself in one word?

Loyal. Once you’re my friend you’ll always be my friend, I stay in touch with friends from all of my past workplaces.

What do you hope to be doing 5 years from now?

I would hope that I will have grown personally and professionally, by responding positively, and making wise decisions when opportunities present themselves in an inevitably challenging future.
