BSOL ICS

What are you most proud of?

Having the opportunity to develop and now lead the Integrated Care Systems shared procurement service, which is truly impacting value for money across the system. Making the Birmingham & Solihull pound go further.

What makes you angry?

The Health Inequalities within my ICS and how in 2022 children & families still live in poverty in the UK.

What sports team do you support (if any)?

I'm a Rugby person and it as to be Wales

Which famous person would you most like to meet and why?

The late Queen, to discuss what she learnt over the years and to thank her for her faith, service & loyalty to the Country and the Commonwealth.

What superpower would you most like to have and why?

Flying, just because it would reduce my commuting time from Wales to Birmingham each week :-)

What historical figure do you most admire and why?

There are so many, but I would love to meet Martin Luther King and learn how he managed to become an amazing figure of change through such major person challenges and appalling racial abuse.

What’s your perfect weekend?

Every weekend back on my farm, looking after the animals and riding out on my ex-race horse (who is a lot slower now).

What’s your favourite meal?

Fish Finger sandwich

Can you describe yourself in one word?

Passionate, but my team would say demanding and I will never apologise for that.

What do you hope be doing 5 years from now?

Retired :-)
