HCSA has released a statement following the announcement that NHS England’s chief commercial officer Jacqui Rock will be stepping down at the end of the year.
HCSA Chief Officer Keith Rowley said: “In her three years as NHS Chief Commercial Officer, Jacqui Rock provided an important figurehead at a time of great change in the NHS procurement and supply chain community.
Her period in the role included key events like the launch of the Strategic Framework for NHS Commercial and the Central Commercial Function.
HCSA was grateful to have an open and productive relationship with Jacqui, and she always made herself available to communicate and engage with our membership through platforms such as HCSA events and podcasts.
We thank Jacqui for her time and contribution to the NHS Procurement and supply chain community, wish her all the very best in her next role and look forward to building a relationship with her successor to the benefit of HCSA members.”
In her announcement, Jacqui said: “As I approach three years in my role and having had discussions with Amanda Pritchard, I have decided that now is the right time for me to step down. This has been a very difficult decision.”
NHSE CEO Pritchard said: “Jacqui has created a vision that the entire NHS can — and is — getting behind and has driven a relentless focus on professionalisation and high-quality standards which has not just shifted the dial in the immediate term but has laid the foundations for future success.”
