Director of Central Commercial Function Preeya Bailie is to leave NHS England and join King's Facilities Management (KFM) as Managing Director.
In an email, Preeya described her past seven years working with teams across the NHS as ‘the greatest privilege’ of her career.
She said: “We have been through a lot together and I want to say thank you for being a community that I not only have great respect for but have colleagues I can call my friends. We have been through tough times, COVID, and every year as more is asked of us all, we have only gotten through it together.”
Preeya established the Provider Transformation & Operational Model programme in NHS Improvement which has since formed the foundations of the Central Commercial Function as well as being at the forefront of the Commercial Efficiencies & Optimisation Programme, which is supporting the health service to deliver significant savings for our taxpayers’ money for reinvestment into patient care.
Over the next few months, Preeya will continue to support work across CCF and in particular the work on Nutrition on Prescription.
She added: “There is nowhere as exciting, challenging and rewarding as the NHS. I am staying within the NHS so will still be in contact and will see you at events like HCSA.”
HCSA would like to express immense gratitude to Preeya for her support and commitment to working with the organisation to meet our shared goals for the NHS procurement community. We look forward to seeing Preeya at future HCSA events as she starts the next stage of her career.
